Capcom Co., Ltd., (hereinafter “Capcom,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) may collect personal information from our customers (hereinafter “you”) in connection with the services we provide (hereinafter "our services"). - When you link your platform account (a user identifier provided by the game platform provider) to your CAPCOM ID account, you will be required to provide your platform account.

- When you contact us through the various contact points operated by us in relation to our services, you may be asked to provide your contact information (email address, name, address, phone number, and other contact information), profile information, and the specific details of your inquiry.

(b) Personal information we collect automatically from customers

- We collect information about your actions on our services. This includes the pages you access, the time you spend on each page, your usage history of various CAPCOM ID-related services, and crash reports.

- When you use our game services using your CAPCOM ID, we collect information about your actions within the game.

This includes the settings you make within the game, the specific details of your play, the date and time of play, total play time, and crash reports.

- We collect technical information about the computers, devices, and other equipment that you use when you access our services. This includes device identifiers, IP addresses, information about device settings, and other information about the operating environment of computers, devices, and other equipment.
*We may use IP addresses to infer the approximate location of the country or region in which you are using our services.

- If you specifically give consent within our game services, we will collect information about your in-game activities and other information specified at the time of your consent.

(C) Other

In addition to the above, we may collect your personal information in accordance with any other provisions specified separately prior to collection.

2. Regarding purpose of use of personal information

We may use the personal information listed in Section 1 for the following purposes:

(a) To provide customers with our services

To provide you with our services. This specifically includes the following:

- To identify individual customers in the services provided by us and offer appropriate services to each customer (including providing game services in each game, implementing online matchmaking between players, providing account services, measuring server load and detecting bugs, giving prizes to users, and disclosing battle record information and other information to other users, including friends).

- To communicate important information regarding the content of the contract between you and Capcom as well as the content and operation of our services.

- To respond to your inquiries and to make necessary contact for technical support.

- To detect and take measures to prevent fraudulent activities and violations of the contract on our services in order to ensure the appropriateness and fairness of the services we provide to you.

(b) To comply with legal obligations

To respond to legally binding requests from government authorities or to comply with our legal obligations. This specifically includes handling information about your country of residence and age in order for us to comply with the legal obligations imposed by the data protection laws and other relevant laws of each country, depending on your country of residence and age.

(c) To conduct analyses to realize better products and services

To conduct analyses to maintain and improve the services provided by us, develop new features, and develop better products and services in the future. This includes internal research and an understanding of your usage trends of our services.

(d) To conduct analyses for promotional activities

To conduct analyses to implement, plan and develop, and maintain and improve promotional activities for our or third-party products and services. This includes measuring the effectiveness of promotional activities implemented by us.

(e) To implement promotional activities for our or third-party products and services for customers

To propose attractive products, services, events, and other activities tailored to the service usage status of each of you. These proposals may be made by email, or through the Ad delivery using Facebook custom audiences, LINE's audience data utilization function, Google Ads Customer Match, and Yahoo! Ads audience lists based on customer data.

(f) Any other purpose of use specified by Capcom in advance

3. Regarding sharing of personal information

(1) We may create statistical information that no longer relates to specific individuals as a result of aggregating and processing your personal information and provide this to third parties. On the other hand, we will not share personal information with third parties, except as provided in this article.

(a) When sharing information with our business partners

We will share the handling of personal information with our subsidiaries, affiliates, cloud vendors, service operators, and other outsourcing contractors to the extent necessary for the accomplishment of the purpose of use set forth in Section 2, to the extent necessary for the outsourcing.

(b) When sharing information to the extent necessary to comply with legal obligations

When we receive a request based on legal grounds, or when we determine that it is necessary to comply with laws and regulations that apply to us, we will share your personal information to the extent necessary to respond to these requests.

(c) When sharing information to prevent criminal acts

We will share your personal information to the extent necessary to protect the rights and interests of ours, our customers, or third parties from criminal acts, fraudulent acts, or other inappropriate acts. When we jointly use your personal information with our group companies, we will enter into a data protection agreement and establish a system to ensure that your personal information is protected appropriately. The purpose of use by the joint user will be the same as in Section 2. (In this case, "we" will be read as “we and our joint user.") We are responsible for the management of personal information that is jointly used, and our name, address, and our representative’s name are as set forth in the beginning of this Privacy Policy.

(2) We may transfer your personal information to a country or region other than the country or region in which you reside (which may have data protection laws different from those of the country or region in which you reside). In such cases, we will take measures to ensure that your personal information receives the same level of protection as under the data protection laws of the country or region in which you reside, either by entering into a data protection agreement or by other means permitted by applicable data protection laws.

4. Regarding children’s personal information

Furthermore, with regard to the use of personal information for the purpose of "carrying out promotional activities to customers for products and services provided by us or third parties" (2.e), we will comply with the laws and regulations of each country and region that have been enacted from the perspective of protecting children. For example, in cases where the application of the Consumer Protection Act of the Province of Quebec, Canada, or the Digital Services Act in Europe prohibits us from marketing to children under a certain age, we will not use your personal information for marketing purposes knowing that you are a child under the specified age residing in that area.

We will transmit the personal information described in Section 1 to a server located in Japan or the United States and store it there. However, if there is separate guidance within the service, we will follow that guidance.

We will store the personal information described in Section 1 for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of use set out in Section 2.

You may submit, free of charge, but no more than twice in a 12-month period, a verifiable request for the following information:
